Good Morning Miri, Good Night KK.

The first rest for two weeks! With the sweet memories of Lambir Hills NP our colleagues awake slight late after having a warm sleep in Miri. Last night we spent at the “Mega Hotel”- Miri. Miri, the second City of Sarawak, is situated in northern Sarawak, close to the Sarawak-Brunei border on the legendary island of Borneo. The city is the first oil-producing town in Malaysia. Therefore, it is aptly called "The Oil Town". It is also the stepping-off point to many of Sarawak's world-famous national parks such as the World Heritage Site Gunung Mulu, Niah National Park, Lambir Hills National Park and Loagan Bunut National Park, as well as other major tourist attractions. Miri is one of the cities that took our hearts!

All of our team have had good rest and walked through the streets in Miri in the morning. We left the hotel at 12.30 p.m. with pleasant reminiscences of the gorgeous city Miri. We came to the Miri air port at 1.00 p.m. While having the lunch pleasing smile was seen among all of us. We departed by Air Asia AK 6074 flight at 2.45 p.m. passing hectares of Oil palm cultiva, brilliant white clouds and bluish ocean with sandy beaches corals. Loud smiles echoed inside the airbus captivating attention of all passengers towards "BOB 09" group. We arrived to Kota Kinbalu at 3. 35 p.m.; the state capital of the Malaysian state Sabah, which is one of the two states of East Malysia. From the airport it is just a 20 minute ride to Kinabalu Daya Hotel and we retuned to after two weeks to the hotel, which is our halt for this week end. The location of the city is absolutely amazing; sandy beaches, paradise islands, beautiful coral reefs, tropical rain forests; and the world heritage Mount Kinabalu is in close proximity to the city. This is our holiday. All our pals went to their rooms with baggage, but just after while they found among the street roaming here and there. This is a long night for BOB 09 group.
