Frogs
No matter where you are in the world when you see a frog you know instantly what it is. Whether it's the long legs, large mouth, big eyes or a sterotypical "ribbit" frogs are automatically recognizable. Perhaps because of their small size, beautiful patterns, or dreams of chasing tiny green dots in a pond as a child, frogs have worked their way into our hearts and memories. Unfortunately they may soon be just that: a memory. A new bacterial infection is threatening to kill entire species of frogs. No remedy for this deadly infection has been found, so now more than ever it is extremely important to take stock of the frogs we have and record new finds.

Data
For this examination, 12 characters were recorded for all 11 frogs captured, which can be seen in the character matrix from Mesquite included below. A parsimonious tree program was run through PHYLIP, however there were 9 equally parsimonious trees created. After using the consense function through PHYLIP however, one best tree showing the relationship of the captured frogs was generated and is included below.
