General notes: (about the organism that will not change over time)
- Interesting because single flower on a stalk, lovely white color, whole cluster was about 2m tall, the inflorescence ~40cm from the ground, the guide suggested it was of the Etlingera genus, petals were white, outer floral color maybe white as well? no hair present, short petiole-like leaf base, light green leaves, strong midrub with no real visible veins, flies all over the area, herbaceous and smooth with sheaths close together

- Lots of flies around the area, landing on plant and biting me (location: The very entrance of the Maliau Basin suspension Bridge leading into the basin, microhabitat: Quite sunny, very near a river, basically high on a bank, height: 2 m200 cm
