So today was our 3th project day at Maliau. Most of the groups have now settled on a question and have done substantial sampling in the field. My group, the stream team, went out today to the Maliau River and sampled the plants and animals we needed for our project. Yesterday we went to the Kuamut River and gathered our samples. Tomorrow, we hope to go to where the Maliau and the Kuamut River meet to complete our sampling. We ran into various other groups throughout the day, and everyone seemed to be happy and satisfied with their sampling. In the afternoon, we had a lecture from Gary Paoli on Conservation After that lecture, we had a discussion on Nature’s rights vs. Human rights in conservation.
