A full day to work on our projects. Most of us ended up adjusting our hypotheses quite a bit, whether they concerned gibbons, drip-tips, macaranga ants, birds, rotting fruit ganoosh, acidic streams, etc. After full mornings and afternoons of field work, we gathered for a group photo (we're big in the press here!) and Gary's lecture on dipterocarpaceae species distribution and how it is affected by soil nutrient levels. Then it was time for dinner and a night of touching up our proposals. Though we were all getting down to serious business today, we can't wait for Planet Earth tomorrow!
