THE (HAUNTING) PROJECTS...
- ABOUT THE PROJECTS
We did 3 projects in this course, one in Lambir, one in P. Gaya and one last in Maliau Basin. 1 to 3 persons for project 1 and 3 (No same-person grouping for both projects... Min Sheng said there were more rules about grouping in other CTFS courses, should be thankful hah~~). It's stressful!!! Everything on your own with some (helpful) advises from Cam, Min Sheng and Brad and etc!!! It's definitely new and scary to me... To think of a project with limited materials and time (2 days!!!)... Nonetheless, it's great experience :), should definitely be applied to my university *grin* (as if I have a chance to voice out... -_-).
- PROJECT 1 - FISHES AND SHRIMPS
I did my project with Pui on feeding time preference and distribution of fishes and shrimps in the ponds of Lambir Hills National Park using a fish trap called "bubu botol" (bubu bottle). The fish trapping was done at from 6pm, 30 July to 6pm, 31 July. What are we doing in days before? Trial and error and trapping nothing!!! :| Thank you very much Pui! :)
- PROJECT 2 - MARINE INVERTEBRATES
16 of us (Pui and Mona were having great time with their convocation back in UniMAS :"D) were divided into 3 groups for project 2, Corals, Fishes and Inverts. I did the project with Ruchira, Ian, Bekti, Eka and Megan. In this project we investigate the difference in marine invertebrates composition and diversity along different gradient of the reef of Malohom Bay, Pulau Gaya. One afternoon, one night, and you need to come out with a presentation and a report tomorrow morning! Cool heh!
